Meet Kefentse and her choices. She chose to be different ... and you have to dress different by choice or obligation?
@modestoechic
My Name is Kefentse a 24 year old living in Gauteng, South Africa, a Christian by faith and believes in the message brought forth by William Branham. I have recently finished my honours degree in Informatics and work at one of the 4 major banks in South Africa.
Usually in my spare time I go out with my friends, also of the same faith, we like trying out new hangout places, food, art works, flee markets, etc. and in my down time, one is most likely to find me reading a book.

I don’t have a set definite style, for me it is about how I feel in a clothing Item, if I try it and I feel it looks good and appropriate on me then it would likely be part of my closet, this usually inclines towards the Victorian vintage style mixed with a bit of hippie and gypsy.
My outfit/Dress code is pleasure as I like to say it just extends through the grace of God in my life, not so many people are able to accept this way of dressing and I believe by grace I was able to and embrace it.
My family does not necessarily support me but over time they have learnt to accept, most of the friends close to me respect me for my dressing some go as far as to say they admire how I dress but don’t think they would be able to do it themselves, I too try to share my personal experiences with my friends but not in an overbearing manner in such a way that they do not close off into hearing more from me.
I think when you choose to dress this way you kind of make yourself an easy target for jokes/mockery, I have had people make fun of the way I dress, I have been a subject of public laughter but for me it just understanding why I do it and how it benefits me, I almost never take it personally, including people telling me I look older because of the way I dress.
There are sometimes people especially those of the older generation when walking down the street they would stop me to tell me they admire how I dress, how I carry myself, it just goes to show I was raised right and respect myself and my body and I should not stop or change.
I usually gym at home when I feel the need too, I am not a water person so usually summer dress works well for me when going to the beach as I know I will not be going in the water, friends who do enjoy the water, usually wear skirts made out of denims as they are heavier and less prone to clinging onto the body.
For me I would say it helped in demonstrating what I believe in, as when they see me on a daily basis they get curious as to why do I dress like this on a continuous basis and what keeps me in the dress code and not try to dress how the rest of the world dress.
Being a Christian in the world of today is a bit tricky as many go to church to satisfy their conscious and not for a deeper relationship with God, the standards have dropped so low that nothing is expected of the Christian of today to live a holy life, Holiness has been equated close to nothing so it is hard to live a true Christian life when there are many options that makes it seem like it’s foolish and just a long hard way of doing things when there are easier ways of getting to the same point.
Your dress code is a billboard advertising Christ, show him well, you a written epistle identified of him and in him lays our reward, when you feel like it’s too hard and want to give up remember why you started and remember he is our strength.
